One newcomer, 3 incumbents win

McHENRY – Three incumbents and one newcomer won the four contested seats in the District 15 school board race Tuesday.

In the race, five candidates were running for four at-large seats. According to unofficial results, Incumbent Tim Sabatka received 2,142 votes; newcomer Melanie Orendorff received 2,065 votes; incumbent Kim Qualls received 1,968 votes; and incumbent Ted Pillow received 1,801 votes. Incumbent Al Castellanos received 1,676 votes and was not re-elected.
