Miller, Parrish win MCC board seats

The incumbent and the co-founder of McHenry County College’s free tuition program were elected to two open seats on the college’s board of trustees.

Board Vice Chairwoman Mary Miller, first elected in 2003, won a second six-year term with 16,577 votes, according to unofficial totals available late Tuesday. Newcomer Ron Parrish, co-founder and chairman of the Promise program, won the other open seat with 13,544 votes. John Darger received 10,476 votes and did not win a seat.
