Herrmann wins race for village president
ISLAND LAKE – Island Lake board member Debbie Herrmann won the village president race Tuesday night. She beat board member John Ponio, 474 to 449 votes.
Pam Miller won the village clerk race with 577 votes; Mary Jo Martin received 552.
In the village trustee race, the three at-large winners included Connie Mascillino, 555 votes; Donna O’Malley, 499 votes; and Laura Rabattini, 460 votes. They beat incumbent Don Vercigli, 451 votes; Dwaine Schaal, 420 votes; and Gregory Kachka, 397 votes.
