Incumbents reclaim alderman posts

McHENRY – Two incumbents won the contested McHenry aldermen seats Tuesday night.

Victor Santi beat William J. Bolger, 251-154, for the Ward 1 seat. And Jeffrey Schaefer beat Patrick Conner, 191-151, for the Ward 3 seat, according to unofficial results.

Four other McHenry races were uncontested. They were won by Mayor Sue Low, who received 1,557 votes; Clerk Janice Jones, who received 1,423 votes; Treasurer David Welter, who received 1,419 votes; and Ward 5 Alderman Richard Wimmer, who received 170 votes, according to unofficial results.
