Fire destroys buildings in Barrington Hills

BARRINGTON HILLS – Fire destroyed several unoccupied buildings Thursday night on West County Line Road.

Emergency crews responded to 31524W W. County Line Road around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, a barn and two attached structures were fully involved with flames shooting 45 feet in the air. No one was injured in the fire, said Barrington Fire Department Assistant Chief Lenn Grant.

He said the buildings may have been set for demolition.

Other departments that responded include Lake Zurich, Wauconda, Palatine Rural, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Carpentersville, Cary, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, East Dundee and Fox River Grove.
