Group to discuss global warming

CARY – A “Global Warming: Changing CO2urse” discussion group will gather on four consecutive Wednesday nights in June.

The sessions will be at 7 p.m. starting June 3 at the Center for Spiritual Evolution, 204 Spring St., Cary.

As a four-session course, it explores the history and science of global warming, personal values and habits as they relate to climate change, and personal actions to curb the effects of global warming.

Since 1993, when it launched 97 groups in the Portland area, The Northwest Earth Institute has developed Changing CO2urse along with seven other courses.

A group consists of eight to 12 people who engage in discussion on climate change after reading articles on a particular theme.

Group size is limited to 12. The cost is $22 for the book.
