Storms cause power outage, flooded road
Power has been restored at most of the Harvard area homes that experienced storm outages this morning, according to ComEd.
The number of outages is down from 678 this morning to about 250 as of 9:45 a.m., said Marie Turrell, a ComEd spokesperson. These homes were out of servie since midnight.
Turrell said there aren't any other major outages in McHenry County, and that overnight storms had caused a number of customers to lose power.
Meanwhile, in West Dundee, flooding caused a residential intersection west of Huntley Road to be blocked off. There is standing water at Oak and Walnut drives, and the intersection has been blocked off.
