Suspects sought in armed robbery of Harvard jewelry store

HARVARD – Police are looking for two men who robbed Brady Jewelers at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.
An employee and a customer in the store at the time were restrained in a backroom but were unharmed, according to a news release.
Police responded about 4:20 p.m. to the store at 53 N. Ayer St. The suspects are described as black males about 25 years old, 6 feet tall and thinly built. One was wearing a white T-shirt with a dark-colored sweatshirt, and the other was wearing a white T-shirt and shorts.
They escaped with an undisclosed amount of jewelry.
Harvard police are asking anyone with information to call the department at 815-943-4431 or CrimeStoppers at 815-943-4343. CrimeStoppers, which does not use Caller ID, will pay up to $1,000 for any information leading to an arrest and conviction.
