Minor injuries in 4-car cash

ALGONQUIN – One person was taken to a local hospital after a four-car crash Sunday on Randall Road.

The incident happened about 4:25 p.m. just south of County Line Road in front of Algonquin Commons, said Lt. Julie Didier, with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District.

It was a chain reaction of cars being rear-ended, she added.

Only minor injuries were reported, and the person who was transported was taken to an Elgin hospital.

That person’s name was not released.
