Former CL SOUTH STUDENT killed
A former Crystal Lake South High School student was killed in a double-fatal crash Wednesday evening in Kenosha County, Wis.
Denise Dooley, 18, was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta when she crossed the center line in the 29600 block of County Highway K in Brighton, Wis., about 7 p.m. Wednesday. The car veered into a ditch and rolled over.
Dooley and 18-year-old Alivia Manon were killed. Neither was wearing a seat belt, and both were thrown from the vehicle. Eighteen-year-old Tanya Nitschneider, who was in the back seat and was wearing a seat belt, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department said.
District 155 officials said Dooley attended Crystal Lake South High School during her junior year before transferring.
The crash remains under investigation, but speed appears to have been a factor, police said.
