Additions to Heritage Fair

UNION – “Meet Me at the Fair!” is this year’s theme at the 25th annual Heritage Fair.

The fair, which is free, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 12 at the McHenry County Historical Society, 6422 Main St. in Union.

This year, two unique features have been added to the fair. The historical society will host a cake walk for children of all ages, and others in the crowd could be selected (without volunteering) to join.

The fair also will feature a vintage quilts display with commentary by appraiser and quilt expert Sandy Schweitzer. The presentation will be at noon and 3 p.m.
