Life or death
To the Editor:
I have been reading the Northwest Herald and I’ve become concerned about abolishing the death penalty. If a man kills his wife and children, he might receive a life sentence. For the rest of his life he receives food, clothing and shelter – all at great cost to government.
Meanwhile, a fetus whose only crime is wanting to be born is given an instant death. This sentence not only is approved of by many Americans, it’s approved of by the very two people who are responsible for this fetus.
I wonder how so many beautiful babies have been aborted. This is supposed to be the “Land of the Free” and the “Home of the Brave.”
What is free about being torn apart before you are born? What is brave about tearing apart a baby who cannot cry or defend itself?
