ACES farce

To the Editor:

Be more responsible than to endorse such a bill as the ACES farce (Our View, June 25) being promoted by the current administration and the state-run media.

Disagreement with the commonly accepted “religion” of global warming opens me up to ridicule, everyone must open his eyes and realize the earth heats and cools itself. Through the course of the earth’s existence, temperatures have risen and declined with or without human effect. Unfortunately, many people around the world have begun to follow, like lemmings, the teachings of Al Gore. What makes him an expert? His CO2 emission idea, how long before our breathing is outlawed?

Cap-and-trade legislation is intended to reduce energy use by raising the prices so much that it becomes unaffordable. Higher prices for fuel and electricity will impact every product manufactured in the United States, from the cars we drive to the food we eat. We will ultimately be forced to reduce spending, and this will mean production will be cut back. This will be followed by less production, fewer jobs, and more relying on the government.
 
Wake up, America. Realize that the current administration is about nothing more than gaining more of your freedom and creating more power for themselves.
