FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION, 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, North Train Commuter Lot at Spring Street, Barrington. Family activities, live music. Fireworks best viewed from the lawns of Barrington High School at Lake Cook and Hart roads. INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE, 1 p.m. Sunday, starting at the Municipal Building, 100 W. Woodstock St., and continuing down Dole Avenue to Lakeside Festival grounds at Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Road. Fireworks to begin at dusk over the lake. Information: 815-459-2020, ext. 4730.

CELEBRATE FOX LAKE, 10 a.m. Saturday, parade starts at Grant Community High School, 285 E. Grand Ave. Festivities follow at Millennium Park until 4 p.m. with craft stands, food vendors, entertainment and children’s activities. Fireworks at dusk over Mineola Bay. Rain date Sunday. INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION, Friday, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Highways 12 and 50, Lake Geneva, Wis.
