HUNTLEY – A Huntley man is facing 11 felony charges and eight misdemeanors in connection with allegedly sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl over several months.
James A. Thompson, 38, of the 11600 block of Beacon Street, was arrested Wednesday at his office in Vernon Hills. He is free on $10,000 bail.
Police allege that Thompson would play drinking games involving alcohol with the girl and engage in sexual conduct with her. Police also say that Thompson, while pretending to be someone else, persuaded the girl to send him sexually explicit pictures of her.
The same day as his arrest, authorities executed search warrants at Thompson’s home and office, taking several computers, CDs and other items.
Huntley Police Deputy Chief Todd Fulton said the arrest is the culmination of a four-month investigation.
Thompson was charged with four counts of child pornography, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, five counts of indecent solicitation of a child, six counts of distribution of harmful material, and two counts of enticing a child to remove clothing.
