Crystal Lake men deny drug charges

WOODSTOCK – Two Crystal Lake brothers formally denied drug charges Monday that could send them to prison for six to 30 years if they are convicted.
Daniel J. Perez, 25, and Steven M. Perez, 19, both pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and possession of cocaine.
Daniel Perez also denied charges of unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful production of marijuana plants.
Police arrested the pair, along with their 18-year-old brother, Michael Perez, after an early-morning bust June 5 on their home at 1049 Cedar Crest Drive.
Michael Perez was charged with misdemeanor charges for allegedly having less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
His case is next due in court July 24.
Police said they found four marijuana plants, 2 ounces of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, body armor, and two pellet handguns.
They also said they found two digital scales, packaging material, and more than $5,000 in cash.
Both men are next due in court Aug. 17.
