McHenry to host 
public hearing on plan

McHENRY – Area residents will get the chance to voice their opinions about one of McHenry’s downtown sub-area plans Thursday night.

The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission will host a public hearing for residents at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the McHenry Municipal Center, 333 S. Green St., McHenry.

The plan covers the downtown area along Green Street between Waukegan Road and Pearl Street and then west to Riverside Drive.

It’s the third in a series of sub-area plans, which previously dealt with the Main Street area and the Crystal Lake Road area.

A copy of the proposed plan is on file and may be reviewed during regular business hours in the city clerk’s office at the municipal center.
