Fiesta Days begins Friday

McHENRY – Fiesta Days, which spans three weekends in July, kicks off Friday with Music Fest in Petersen Park in McHenry.
Friday night’s show includes the group Goin’ South at 5:30 p.m. and Modern Day Romeos at 8 p.m. Tickets are $4.
Saturday night’s show includes Trippin’ Billies at 5:45 p.m. and Gin Blossoms at 9 p.m. That show costs $8 at the gate and $6 in advance.
Sunday evening’s show includes The Moods at 3:30 p.m. and The Ides of March featuring Jim Peterik at 5:45 p.m. Tickets are $5.
All three nights are free for children younger than 12.
The weekend’s events also include a paintball tournament, a Volleyball Tournament and a Harley Motorcycle Show.
The festival runs through July 25, and includes Shakespeare in the Park on July 18 at Veterans Memorial Park as well as a parade July 19, which starts at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street and continues to Green Street, then to Pearl Street then to Riverside Drive and concludes on Broad Street.
Also, Family Faith Nite is July 25 in Petersen Park and includes performances by the Christian Youth Theater at 4 p.m., Paul Colman at 6:15 p.m. and VOTA at 8 p.m. There also will be local worship music led by Katie Yore at 5 p.m. Tickets for that event are $6 in advance, $8 at the gate and free for children younger than 12.
