Bzzzz slap party

To the Editor:

Lake in the Hills doesn’t have it. Crystal Lake, Lakewood and most of McHenry County doesn’t have it. But here in Woodstock we have the largest party every night, all through the summer.

If you go to the Square, you can hear it and certainly at the fireworks on the Fourth. It’s the bzzzz slap, bzzzz slap party. It seems the county seat (Woodstock) is the only city that doesn’t spray for mosquitoes. The ones that got away from everywhere else all come to Woodstock.

I can’t understand how the higher-ups who make these decisions let this go. Haven’t you heard of West Nile, malaria? Oh wait, I think I understand why we don’t. Maybe all the higher-ups have stock in Deep Woods Off.

Come on, people. I think our taxes are high enough to at least let us enjoy the summer outside.
