Police searching for Carpentersville man
CARPENTERSVILLE – Police are searching for a 29-year-old Carpentersville man who went missing about a month ago.
Maciej "Matt" Karwacki didn't show up for work June 12, and hasn't had any contact with family or his employer since, according to a news release from the Carpentersville Police Department.
"He's been missing for almot a month now. he left a job and no word from anybody," said Carpentersville Police Cmdr. Tim Bosshart.
Karwacki is described as a white male who is about 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs about 210 pounds. He was last seen clean shaven, but is known to have a goatee. The release indicated he has a polish accent. He drives a white, 2000, four-door Mazda 626.
Police said he might have been on his way to the southern Wisconsin area.
Karwacki "recently became estranged from his wife," the release said, and didn't have much money when he left.
