Take back the dream
To the Editor:
Globalization is what destroyed our economy and has stolen our jobs.
Those in Washington, D.C., like Don Manzullo, both Bushes, Bill Clinton and Dick Durbin, sold us out to the third world. They got voted in by us but work for corporate America.
The largest Rockford newspaper had a headline more than 10 years ago that said “China is good for Rockford, Donald Manzullo says.”
Well, we all saw what happened.
As much as I can blame the politicians, I also blame the American people.
Americans are the most apathetic people in the world. They sit home drinking alcohol and smoking pot, and watching stupid TV.
When this country crashes and burns you need only to look in the mirror to see who did this.
We need to stand together – the right and left as one. We need to stop hating each other and come together in one voice and change both the Republican and Democratic parties and the politicians who run them.
How long are you going to let these two parties destroy our dream, the American dream that we all believe in and love? Wake up America, and take back what is yours.
