Most dangerous time

To the Editor:

This is the most dangerous time for America that I have seen during my lifetime.

I spent over three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. I was never concerned about losing the war nor our liberty because all Americans wanted to win.

Now I am frightened to death. I find it hard to believe that a majority of Americans voted in a president who is taking away our authority and turning it over to the government. President Obama has quadrupled the deficit. He has taken control of General Motors, Chrysler Motors, City Bank, AIG and others. Now, under the guise of saving the world from global warming, he is trying to pass Cap and Trade. If this bill passes, energy costs will triple, forcing manufacturers to move and resulting in the loss of millions more jobs.

America has the best health care in the world. Now President Obama is trying to change our system to one that has never worked wherever it has been tried.

It is obvious President Obama is a socialist. We must act. In 2010 we must vote in a Congress that will preserve the government that has worked for us Americans for 233 years.
