• The Merchant Marines attained veteran status in 1988, not 1998 as was incorrectly reported in a letter to the editor in Wednesday’s Northwest Herald. The error was due to a typesetting mistake by the Northwest Herald and was not the letter writer’s error.
The Northwest Herald regrets the error.
• The story, “Short on flu shots,” that appeared on the front of Thursday’s Local & Region section requires clarification. Centegra Health System expects to receive its first shipment of H1N1 vaccines by month’s end. Centegra has ordered more season flu vaccine and is awaiting its arrival.
