J’burg rescue squad 
to distribute food

JOHNSBURG – Retired members of the Johnsburg Rescue Squad will distribute food to those in need Oct. 28 at the Johnsburg Community Club, 2315 W. Church St., Johnsburg.

About 10,000 pounds of food – enough for 200 families – will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. People are advised to bring their own boxes or bags for the food.

Recipients should arrive at the community center at 4 p.m. to receive a ticket. Lines may not be formed before 3:45 p.m. Only one ticket is allowed per family, and ticket recipients must be at least 18 years old.

Only Illinois residents are eligible to receive food.

Food will be distributed from 4 to 6 p.m. The next distribution will be Dec. 16.
