ALGONQUIN – Announcement has been made of the engagement of Brooke Danielle Broederdorf and Vincent Albert Louis De Bartolo, both of Algonquin.

She is the daughter of Dan and Anne Broederdorf of West Dundee, and Judy Haack of Algonquin. He is the son of Gene and Cheryl De Bartolo of Algonquin.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Jacobs High School and a 2007 graduate of Elmhurst College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and psychology. She works with special needs students at Grove Avenue Elementary School in Barrington.

Her fiancé is a 1998 graduate of Jacobs High School and a 2003 graduate of The American Academy of Art in Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in fine art. He works for Cutting Edge Painting and Decorating in Sleepy Hollow.

They have plans for an Oct. 9, 2010, wedding.
