The story “Schools improve, not enough,” that ran on the front page on Friday misquoted McHenry District 15 Assistant Superintendent for Learning Services John Lehnen. Lehnen said five of the district’s eight schools met adequate yearly progress.

Also, the caption that ran with a photograph in that story misstated that Indian Prairie Elementary School was the top scoring school in the area. Indian Prairie was among the highest scorers in the area.

The Northwest Herald regrets the errors.
