FOX LAKE – The upper portion of the Fox River was declared a no-wake zone Sunday, joining the lower portion of the river, which received the designation Thursday.

Both parts of the river will remain no-wake zones until further notice, the Fox Waterway Agency reported.

The Chain O’ Lakes remained open.

Rain upstream and locally have created rising water levels on the Fox Waterway system.
