ELGIN – Open registration for spring 2010 credit classes begins Monday at Elgin Community College and continues until classes start, space permitting.

Priority registration for continuing students began this week.

Spring 16-week classes begin the week of Jan. 19; 12-week classes begin the week of Feb. 16; and eight-week classes begin the week of March 15.

Early registration is advised to get the best selection of courses and times. New and continuing ECC students with an ECC identification number can register online at www.elgin.edu/accessecc.

Otherwise, registration may be made in person at the Registration Center on the first floor of the Student Resource Center in Room SRC 165 on the main campus, 1700 Spartan Drive. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays.

Students attending college for the first time are required to attend new student orientation. Before being assigned an orientation date, students must complete an application for admission and meet all minimum competency requirements. For information, visit www.elgin.edu/apply.
