Johnsburg Casino Night to raise money for schools

JOHNSBURG – Members of the Johnsburg Educational Partnership are hoping for a full house next weekend at the second annual Casino Night.
Anyone older than 21 is invited to enjoy games of Texas Hold ’Em poker, blackjack, bang, craps, a money wheel and other popular casino games while raising money for Johnsburg District 12 schools.
“It’s a small town, and it’s just a great event to have the community come together, enjoy themselves, and raise money for a good cause,” said Leslie Koscinski, organizer.
Last year organizers sought to raise $4,000 but exceeded their goal and raised $9,000. They’re hoping to raise even more money this year, Koscinski said.
“We use that money toward technology,” she said.
The event will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Nov. 14 at the Johnsburg Community Club, at 2315 W. Church St.
Food from Half Time Pizza and Ribs will be available to buy.
There also will be music.
Admission is $5.
For information call Koscinski at 815-759-2791.
