Renewed hope

Comments (...)

To the Editor:

With all the negative news out there about how people seem inherently bad, I still believe that the human condition includes a proclivity for doing the right thing.

I would like to thank whoever turned in the iPhone they found this past Sunday in the Jewel (Volo) parking lot.

Left behind in a grocery cart that was moved to the far side of the lot, the phone was hidden from view and from several Jewel employees who tried to help find it for me. In these economic times, I lost hope.

But hours later, I got a call from the Jewel manager stating that a stranger had found it and turned it in. Thank you for renewing my hope in the human condition.
