Fundraiser planned for ailing student
McHENRY – A spaghetti dinner and dessert fundraiser will be this weekend for Brittani Navarre-Shoemaker.
The McHenry West High School student faces a number of health issues, including a terminal case of myeloid leukemia.
The event, which also will include raffles, is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Holy Apostles Church, 5211 Bull Valley Road, McHenry.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. They can be bought in the church bookstore, at Advanced Allergy & Asthma Associates, 690 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Suite C, Crystal Lake, or by calling 847-888-8802.
Monetary donations also can be sent to the Brittani Navarre-Shoemaker Leukemia Fund at McHenry Savings Bank, 353 Bank Drive, McHenry.
