Comments (...)

CRYSTAL LAKE – The McHenry County Audubon Society will host a program about wind energy and birds Nov. 12.

Mark Frigo, a vice president of E.ON Climate and Renewables and an avid birder, will present “Wind Energy and Birds.” Frigo has been involved with all types of renewable energy projects throughout his career. His company has wind farms planned in Illinois.

In his program, Frigo will try to dispel myths about wind farms being bad for birds. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be at the Crystal Lake Nature Center, 330 N. Main St.

Refreshments will be served at 7 p.m., followed by the program at 7:30 p.m.

For information, call Nancy Schietzelt at 815-356-1710.
