CARY – About 60 20-pound turkeys will be raffled off Nov. 15 in Cary when the Cary-Grove Amvets host their annual turkey raffle fundraiser.

Other giveaways, food and beverages will round out the fun. The event is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at Cary Pub, 208 W. Main St., event coordinator Den­nis McFadden said.

Raffle tickets are three for $1. Proceeds from the event will support charitable efforts of the Cary-Grove Amvets. For example, the group takes veterans from North Chicago on outings to baseball games and other activities.
