Long for JFK
To the Editor:
I saw the documentary, “JFK: 3 Shots that changed America.”
Nothing but footage seen and unseen. From the time President Kennedy was killed to the chaos that followed.
Many in America still believe there was more involved than just Lee Harvey Oswald. But the nonsense in all this is that Hollywood and theorists are making it more dramatic than it needs to be.
Losing John F. Kennedy was bad enough. But he warned us of the uncertainties. No one listened.
For the uncertainties are still here, but we cling to theories of the past. What we owe President Kennedy is not the past, but the future.
Oswald was not a patsy, but a troubled soul. But we lost more than just Kennedy.
We lost that noble ability in politics that once was, but at the end of the footage, they showed the President and Mrs. Kennedy at the airport.
They were holding hands. What a sad day. But if any today had Kennedy’s sense of history, of God and the world, America would not be in the mess it’s in.
