CRYSTAL LAKE - Two Crystal Lake businesses allegedly sold alcohol to minors, police said after a 20-business compliance check Thursday.

Buffalo Wings and Rings, 1520 Carlemont Drive, and La Rosita Grocery Store, 131 N. Main St., both in Crystal Lake, each had an employee cited, according to a press release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Tina L. Dakessian, 47, of 30 Penny Lane, South Barrington, and Maria Guerrero-Rodriguez, 35, of 117 Greenfield, Crystal Lake were arrested at the respective businesses.

Both were cited with one count of sale of alcoholic beverage to a minor and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

During Thursday’s check, eight undercover officers and two minors visited each location.

The businesses, all of which were in Crystal Lake, included restaurants, bars and retail stores, according to the release. The 18 other businesses checked did not sell alcohol to the minors.
