Cary Village Presidents on display this month
The Cary-Grove Historical Society is hosting a new exhibit tracing the history of Cary village presidents from 1893 to 2009.
The exhibit, which will be on display through May 22, opened Monday. It is in the Old Trophy Room at Cary Village Hall, 655 Village Hall Drive. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Artifacts and information on 20 village presidents will be presented with photographs and other historical items, said Pam Losey of the Cary-Grove Historical Society.
It is also open in the evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. today and May 14, 18 and 19. And it will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16. The exhibit also features 16 locally designed Abe Lincoln top hats as a tribute for his bicentennial birthday.
