Library offers senior help
Two free informational sessions geared toward seniors are planned in the coming months through the Huntley Area Public Library.
The first is the library's regular senior coffee, to take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at National City Bank, 13300 S. Route 47, Huntley. This month's seminar topic is estate planning – goals, taxation, power of attorney, and other important aspects.
Refreshments will be provided by Northwest Home Health & Rehab. Registration begins Tuesday.
The second event features a discussion about "Social Security and Medicare for Baby Boomers" on Dec. 3. The program will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Village Hall, 11704 Coral St., Huntley.
Bonnie Saban of Centegra and Heather Cushing of the Social Security Administration in Woodstock will be guest speakers. Attendees will learn how to transition from the working world into retirement through information on Social Security, Medicare and Illinois Department on Aging programs.
Registration for this session begins Friday at the library reference desk, 11000 Ruth Road, Huntley.
