1 year 6 months old female
She is a small 8 pound short haired Chihuahua mix. She has tan fur, upright big ears and soft brown eyes. She came to us from a kill shelter with her sister and 3 puppies. They were relinquished to the shelter because they were not wanted anymore. Everyone has been adopted except for Sissy. Sissy is a unique and one of a kind girl. She came with a neurological disorder that sometimes affects her balance.
After many tests and consultations with vets they are really not sure what the problem is. She gets around just fine and can run with her own special flair. Her favorite things are napping on laps, giving kisses and hugs and just wanting to be around people. She also likes to talk to you to get your attention.
We think she would love to have a guardian that is home a lot. When she first meets strangers she can be a little apprehensive but once she knows you she is a little love bug. She is in foster care now and she gets along with the other dogs in the home.
If you want to meet her please call the shelter at 815-338-4400 to find out how to set up a meeting. Helping Paws is located at 2500 Harding Lane, Woodstock, Illinois. You can find us online at www.helpingpaws.net.
