McHenry County construction: What roads should I avoid?

Road construction will affect most motorists driving in or out of McHenry County this summer as several projects on major roadways are underway.

McHENRY – The major traffic delays caused by the widening of Charles J. Miller Road are pretty much at an end, an engineer for the project said.
WOODSTOCK – Improvements planned for two McHenry County Conservation District facilities this summer will bring them in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the district’s executive director said.
RICHMOND – As traffic counts continue to climb on Route 12, traveling through the heart of Richmond's downtown, state and local agencies are assessing whether there's a better way to go.
HARVARD – The city will pay about $13,000 toward the removal of traffic signals as a part of a $2.3 million project to improve Route 14.
FLEMING ROAD: As you read in Friday’s paper, work is starting June 3 to repair the scenic, but decaying, 2 ∏-mile stretch of road that runs through Bull Valley.
