Wondering where to go for spring break this year?
If you want to stay in the states, think Florida.
Patty DeRoo, owner of Crystal Lake Travel Agency, Inc., said it’s always a popular spring break destination.
The beaches, Disney, cruise ports, sunny skies and warm temperatures are just some of the state’s many attributes.
If you live in the midwest, the latter two are especially what you’re craving by the time March rolls around.
Another perk of that destination for mid-westerners? You can ditch spending hundreds of dollars on airfare and drive to Florida instead.
If burying your feet in the sand is what you crave, you have plenty of options in Florida. Some of the best beaches can be found in Sanibel Island, Naples, Key West, and St. Petersburg.
Are you an amusement park enthusiast? Besides Disney’s Magic Kingdom, you’ll find Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Orlando is also home to SeaWorld.
Want to get out of the states for a while? All-inclusive resorts in both Mexico and the Caribbean are also popular spring break destinations.
And said, DeRoo, they “guarantee great weather.”
Is a multigenerational vacation in your future? The trend is fast growing in popularity.
And in that case, a cruise could be your best bet for pleasing the whole gang. The traveling option includes meals, entertainment, accommodations, and convenience.
“Cruises offer the most for multigenerational families that want a lot of activities,” DeRoo said.
