It was Ferris Bueller who said, “The question isn't ‘what are we going to do?,’ the question is ‘what aren't we going to do?’”
Options were seemingly endless for Bueller and his two cohorts and you could say the same for seniors this spring as there are countless fun spring activities.
For those residing in a retirement community, such as Hearthstone Communities, there’s plenty of fun to take advantage of within the community, with regularly scheduled activities.
There are free exercise classes each weekday in the fitness room.
Last month, seniors learned how to write their memoir, as they were taught how to take note of their history - one story, one page a time.
Many new scheduled activities are forthcoming later this spring and since you reside among your peers, there are plenty of card games, clubs and social opportunities that will leave you laughing and smiling.
Enjoy the fresh air and items that were grown or produced directly by vendors at the Woodstock Farmer’s Market at the Historic Woodstock Square. Go for walks with friends and family. Ride a bike. Bird watch.
Take up gardening. Go golfing or play a round of mini golf. Find a pond and go fishing. Dine outdoors at a restaurant. Have a picnic at a park.
Have a plan for the rainy days and catch a movie at the Woodstock Theatre, which is now listed in National Register of Historic Places by the U.S. Department of the Interior.
