Acclaimed humorist, author and radio personality Garrison Keillor takes the stage Sept. 24 at Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake.
Keillor’s Prairie Home Love & Comedy Tour makes a stop in McHenry County for an 8 p.m. performance.
Keillor shares insight and stories from his journey as one of America’s greatest storytellers. He has captivated audiences for more than 40 years as the host of A Prairie Home Companion, and has attracted more than 4 million listeners on more than 600 radio stations each week.
One of the most prolific American storytellers of all time, Keillor brings a signature blend of humor, charisma and wisdom to McHenry County as part of his nationwide tour this fall.
The Sept. 24 performance at Raue Center is just one of two tour stops in Illinois as Keillor makes his way across 15 states.
Keillor has written numerous magazine and newspaper articles and more than a dozen books for adults as well as children. In addition to writing for The New Yorker, he has written for The Atlantic Monthly and National Geographic.
Ticket prices start at $63 and can be purchased at www.rauecenter.org, or through the Box Office at 815-356-9212 or 26 N. Williams St. in downtown Crystal Lake. The box office is open Monday through Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m.
