Say NO to Another Chicken-Dinner Fundraiser

SPONSORED

McHenry County is no stranger to fundraising events. With over 60 non-profits in the county, it seems like every weekend we are asked to help a very worthwhile cause. This is by no means a negative, as we are all blessed to live in a very generous county. But let’s be honest, these events can get a bit…well, boring. Bake sales, bingo nights, dine-n-shares, lite beer in a red-solo cup-under-the-tent festivals, “a-thon” events—all fun, but what about helping a worthwhile non-profit AND having a great “date night” at the same time….

Well, look no further.  On June 15, Pioneer Center will be stepping into Smith’s Central Garage with their Moonlight & Madness: Smooth Jazz event.  With ticket prices convenient for both singles ($25) and couples ($45), this homage to the 1940’s boasts a live jazz band, a swing dance lesson with a conversant instructor and a steel drums band next to a cash bar serving period beverages specialized to the decade.

But if “jiving” isn’t your thing, we won’t hold it against you.  Come on down and enjoy a hot appetizer and cocktail like a French 75 or a Manhattan, “Daily News” photo booth and “His”, “Hers” and “Theirs” raffle baskets stocked with experiences for every age.

So now all you need to decide is whether you are going to spend another Friday night on the couch watching boring reruns.  Or, are you going to snag that primo babysitter, put on that little black dress or suit and tie, slick back your hair and get your names on the list.  Tickets won’t be sold at the door, so your name on the list matters!

Leave the microwaved dinner at home, through off those sweats and make Friday night, June 15 the kickoff to summer date night season.

Tickets can be reserved online at www.pioneercenter.org or if you have questions you can call our development office at 815-759-7129.
