HARVARD – A Harvard man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault that police say happened last summer.
Juan L. Carbajal, 35, 1000 W. Roosevelt No. 6, was arrested at his work in Harvard without incident after a two-month investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators spoke with a juvenile female, who has been identified as the alleged victim.
Carbajal has no prior history of committing sex crimes, police said. He remained in custody Friday on $100,000 bond, but he also has an immigration hold.
An immigration hold generally indicates that the defendant could be in the country illegally or that the criminal case could affect the defendant’s immigration status.
