WEST DUNDEE – A West Dundee man has been sentenced to 11 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for molesting three children he knew, according to a news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Marcus L. Arvizo, 37, of the 35W block of Parson Road, agreed to the sentence Friday in exchange for a guilty plea of two counts of criminal sexual assault, each a Class 1 felony, and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, according to the release.
Between January 2013 and June 2014, Arvizo had sexual contact with three children who were younger than 18 at the time, prosecutors said.
Arvizo must register for life as a sexual offender, according to the release.
His sentence is four years for each Class 1 felony, and three years for the Class 2 felony, and the terms must be served consecutive to one another, according to the release.
Arvizo must serve at least 85 percent of the sentences for his Class 1 felony, according to the release. He is eligible for day-for-day credit for the Class 2 felony sentence, and received credit for the 1,034 days he served in Kane County jail, according to the release.
