Mike Skala, who owns Goodfellas Beef in Huntley, said he wants the complex to allow Huntley residents to fulfill their needs in town and have a destination place to shop, eat and let the kids play at the variety of plays places that are proposed to be scattered throughout the site.
“Being a resident here, my passion and my love is to see the village being a great place to work, play and live,” Skala said. “I am not a typical developer. I am a businessman. The take that I have on this is I want it to be done right. … The least concern I have is return on investment.”
