Prairie Ridge girls golf turned in a 364 to capture the team title at the Class 2A Freeport Regional held Wednesday at Park Hills Golf Course.
Morgan Taylor shot an 82 to lead the Wolves and finished fourth overall. Freeport's Maxine Nesemeier won the individual title with a 2-over-par 74.
Grace VanHyfte carded an 89 for Prairie Ridge, Elizabeth Tucker shot 96, and Sophia Pascente and Katie Gilmore tied for the Wolves' last counting score with 97s.
Along with Prairie Ridge, Rockford Lutheran (372) and Rockford Guilford (396) also advanced to Monday's Huntley Sectional.
McHenry's Sarah Fergus and Woodstock's Kenna Miles each shot 88 to advance individually to sectionals, and Marian Central's Lauren McNulty and Danielle Lattanzio each shot 98 to also move on.
Cary-Grove 5, Prairie Ridge 2: At Crystal Lake, the Trojans swept all three singles matches against the Wolves to earn the Fox Valley Conference win.
Bethany Marshall (No. 1 singles), Kaitlyn Warner (No. 2) and Ava Warner (No. 3) all picked up wins. In doubles, Cary-Grove's Jenna Briggs and Julia Pietrzyk won at No. 3 doubles, and Grace O'Malley and Olivia Schladt won at No. 4 doubles.
For Prairie Ridge, Kaitlyn Theil and Madison Ljunggren came out ahead at No. 1 doubles, while Georgie Durrant and Colette Reiche won at No. 2 doubles.
Harvard 3, Richmond-Burton 0: At Richmond, Angel Romo scored twice as the Hornets picked up a Kishwaukee River Conference win.
Adrian Gorostieta was credited with two assists and added a goal for Harvard (12-2-2, 7-0-2).
Niles Notre Dame 4, Marian Central 0: At Woodstock, Matthew Jablonski made nine saves in an East Suburban Catholic Conference loss for the Hurricanes.
Dundee-Crown 3, McHenry 1: At Carpentersville, the Chargers finished off the Fox Valley Conference win after the match was suspended because of heavy rain Sept. 25 with D-C leading, 2-0, in the first half.
Samuel Lopez, Roland Dearborn and Aldair Ortega scored for the Chargers (13-3-3, 4-0-2), and Calvin Carlos had an assist.
Cary-Grove 119, Dundee-Crown 50: At Carpentersville, the Trojans took first place in every event during their FVC dual meet.
Ayden Donfris won the 200 individual medley (2:39.04) and 100 breaststroke (1:23.45), Emily Marks took first in the 50 freestyle (30.70) and 400 freestyle (5:14.04), Emma Boldwyn won the 100 freestyle (1:10.48) and 100 backstroke (1:20.92), Lizzy Fournier topped the 200 freestyle (2:33.45), and Payton Walsh won the 100 butterfly (1:18.19).
Donfris, Audrey Boldwyn, Walsh and Marks teamed up to win the 200 medley relay (219.55). Livy Willis, Molly Gilbert, Fournier and Emma Boldwyn won the 200 free relay (2:08.73). Walsh, Emma Boldwyn, Marks, and Donfris took first in the 400 free relay (4:43.80).
Huntley 2, Cary-Grove 0: At Huntley, Taylor Jakubowski filled up the stat sheet in the Red Raiders' FVC win over the Trojans, 25-9, 25-19.
Jakubowski supplied Huntley (16-3, 10-2) with seven kills, two blocks, 16 digs and 22 assists. Julia Johnson added nine kills, and Emma Konie had four kills and three aces.
