To the Editor:
These nuns to me are the greatest example of servant leadership. They were on the road in 2016 showing the Catholic churches commitment to social justice. They are led by sister Simone Campbell. They are concerned about income inequality, about the new Republican tax laws favoring the rich and corporations, which will hurt communities and give handouts to the wealthy. They are in favor of keeping the Affordable Care Act and improving it. They want people to vote in the mid terms for change.
These nuns started out in California on Oct. 8. They are going to 21 states and ending their tour at club Mar-A-Lago in West Palm Beach, Florida on Nov. 2.
They will be at Peter Roskam's office in West Chicago on Friday Oct. 19. Go to nunsonthebus.org to follow their bus tour on line. And please vote for change in the mid-terms.
