To the Editor:
As a student, I believe that this McHenry school referendum is important because it will provide so many more educational opportunities to students.
It is my belief that the freshman campus can and will have a positive effect on freshman education.
The freshman campus will allow students to get concentrated attention from their teachers, who would be focused solely on freshman education, and not have upperclassmen on top of that.
Also, East Campus’ size allows for students to have a culture, which will allow them to bond and go to West Campus together as a unified group.
Having the 10th- to 12th-graders at West Campus will allow them more educational opportunities, too, because the new lab spaces and new classes will give students that competitive edge, whether they’re interested in trades or college.
If this referendum passes, it will provide students with so many more opportunities, no matter their chosen profession.
