In its 45 years, the display has seen several visitors including multiple generations of families. Diane Wysocki of Johnsburg has been visiting the display since her family moved to the area 39 years ago. As the years passed, Wysocki’s children had kids of their own and all three generations now go to see the trains.
“The kids were just thrilled every year when the trains went up. We had to make the trip every year,” said Wysocki. “We wanted to share the magic of the trains that our kids got to have with our four grandchildren so we bring them every year now too. The grandkids are always excited to see the trains.”
The train show will debut on Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. and will be available for viewers during banking hours.
